A collaboration commercial between the TV anime "Vigilante - My Hero Academia ILLEGALS -," based on the official spin-off of Kohei Horikoshi's popular manga "My Hero Academia (Hiroaka)," and the TV anime " My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON" has been released on YouTube. With "My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON" coming to an end with just two episodes left and the second season of "Vigilante" set to begin airing in January 2026, the collaboration commercial features a "baton" being passed from a famous scene featuring Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo Bakugo from "Hiroaka" to footage of Koichi and the others from "Vigilante." New footage from the second season of "Vigilante" was also unveiled.
A special talk show, "My Hero Academia x Vigilante Special Talk Show," will be held at Tokyo Comic Con 2025, which will be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama Ward, Chiba City) on December 7th. The latest promotional video and key visual for the second season of Vigilante will be unveiled on stage, featuring plenty of new footage.
"Vigilante" is a manga written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Arata Betsuki, which was serialized in "Shonen Jump+" from 2017 to 2022. It is an official spin-off of "My Hero Academia" and has gained popularity not only in Japan but also overseas.
Set in Japan several years before the events of the main story of "My Hero Academia," the series depicts the drama of illegal heroes known as vigilantes who, while not being "chosen," cannot help but save those in front of them, and who are the "chosen" heroes who protect people from villains who abuse their "quirks." The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June.
