It has been announced that KENT's manga "Giant Monster Geachima," which is currently being serialized in "Monthly Young Magazine" (Kodansha), will be made into an anime.
"Giant Monster Geachima" is a science fiction manga depicting the connection between monsters and humans. The port town of Konanami is devastated by a monster that suddenly appears from the sea, accompanied by a huge wave. The monster, no longer active, dissolves into the sea and becomes a rich nutrient for seafood, enriching Konanami's economy and leading to it being called Geachima, the god of fertility. A victim of the disaster, a young girl named Morinomiya Yako, creates Geachima dolls to commemorate the event, which are sold as souvenirs and become popular. Meanwhile, a monster appears in the rebuilt Konanami town for the first time in 10 years.
The American version, "GAEA-TIMA the Gigantis," has been published and is gaining popularity worldwide. The latest volume, volume 7 of the comic, will be released on November 20th.
