It has been announced that the fourth season of the TV anime "Re:Zero(Re:ZERO)," based on the light novel from MF Bunko J (KADOKAWA), will begin airing in April 2026. It has also been announced that Tomokazu Sugita will appear in the role of Reid Astrea, the first sword saint who was active approximately 400 years ago and the founder of the Astrea family.
Sugita commented, "Who could tie up this man? I, the actor, might even get the reins wrapped around my neck and be dragged along. There's no denying the sense of exhilaration that comes hand in hand with that fear. Everyone, please be careful. But I look forward to seeing you."
The first key visuals featuring Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, Beatrice, and others, the first main PV featuring Reid Astrea, and new character visuals for the Sin Archbishops Roy Alphard and Louis Arneb have also been released.
"Re:Zero" is based on a light novel written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichiro Otsuka. The story follows high school student Subaru, who is summoned to another world and gains the ability to rewind time when he dies. The original series has sold over 13 million copies in total. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2016, the first half of the second season aired from July to September 2020, and the second half from January to March 2021. The third season, "Attack Arc," aired from October to November 2024, and the "Counterattack Arc" aired from February to March 2025.
