Series composition: Dai Sato

It's been 20 years since the broadcast of "Eureka Seven." We were all 35 years old at the time. It was my first time as a series composer, Kyoda Tomoki's first time as a TV series director, and Yoshida Kenichi's first time as a character designer. We took on the challenge of throwing everything we had at the time into the project. That was Eureka Seven. And at the time of broadcast, we had no idea whether our hopes of conveying something were being conveyed through that effort.

Twenty years have passed since then. Especially recently, I have been meeting more and more people in my work, such as in the music and anime industries, who tell me in various situations, "I watched Eureka Seven" or "I loved Eureka Seven." I have also had many opportunities to connect with these people.

I was completely absorbed in it at the time, but looking back 20 years later, I realize that it was Sato Dai's debut as a series composer, and also his masterpiece. I've realized this through meeting and connecting with various people. Also, being able to spin 50 consecutive stories, which may have been reckless for a first-time series composer at the time, gave me a lot of confidence in my subsequent work. I believe that it's thanks to that that I'm still able to work on set today. Congratulations on your 20th anniversary.

Main animator: Eiji Nakata

Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of "Eureka Seven"! This was my first time participating in a project as a main staff member, and it was a valuable experience that allowed me to learn a lot as an animator. I hope that "Eureka Seven" will continue to resonate with many people in the future.

Special skills director: Yasushi Muraki

"This robot will surf in the air, so please enjoy it." That was the conversation that led me to participate in this project. 20 years have passed since then. As a special effects director for the first time, I think I was able to fully express the aerial combat I was capable of... Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of Eureka Seven.

Art director: Nagai Kazuo

Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! It's been 20 years since I was working on the art settings and art boards, trying to figure out how to depict the unique setting of a world covered in scabs. I'm sure there are some of you who haven't seen it yet, but if you watch up to episode 26, I'm sure you won't be able to resist watching until the end, so please do!

Color design: Nobuko Mizuta

20 years ago seems like a long time ago, but it feels like I was working on it until just recently. The first season was broadcast in the early morning, which was rare even at the time, and I never thought I'd be involved for this long. The story begins in a world close to the sun, so the colors were created with strong contrast. In the second half, the story travels to the underground world (the place that corresponds to the actual surface), and the director instructed me to tone down the contrast at that point. (I wonder if anyone noticed...) There are so many characters (and mecha...), so it was very difficult. I don't think I could have endured it without everyone watching. If it brings even a little joy to the viewers, I feel like all my hard work is worth it.

Dear bones, what should I do about the 50 volumes of storyboards from the first season that are sleeping in the closet of my house... (I've had them for 20 years...)

Director of Photography: Kimura Toshiya

Although I was on the production side, it is a memorable work that allowed me to enjoy the story of Renton and his friends. I was involved in the filming of this project and had a great experience, so I am grateful for it. Thank you! And congratulations on the 20th anniversary of Eureka Seven!!

Sound Director: Wakabayashi Kazuhiro

Twenty years have passed since then. Both the lead actresses, Sanpei (Yuko) and Nazuka (Kaori), are now mothers, and I find myself thinking about my age. The year I spent working with the then-young director Kyoda was a great stimulant and experience for me. I am keenly aware that the fact that we were able to continue communicating well and complete the project still lives on in the film. I can't help but look forward to what the future holds!

Music: Naoki Sato

Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of "Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven." I am still proud to have been able to be a part of this world through music. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to this work, which continues to be loved over time, and to everyone who has walked with me along the way. I myself will always remain a Eureka fan.
