It has been announced that the coming-of-age novel "Kyoukai no Melody" (KADOKAWA), which was the debut novel by Miyata Toshiya of the popular group Kis-My-Ft2, will be adapted into a TV anime. Following the drama CD, it has been announced that Ito Kento, who plays Tsurumaki Kyosuke, Daisuke Sakuma, who plays Amano Kai, Uchida Yuma Uchida, who plays Takeshi, Takeuchi Shunsuke, and Soma Saito, who plays Minoru, will also appear in the anime.
The story is themed around music and depicts the youth and brilliance of life of two boys. Illustrator LAM, who also worked on the main visuals for "Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2023," is in charge of the illustrations. After his partner Kai died in an accident just before their major debut, Kyosuke distanced himself from music and lived a listless life, but two years after the accident, Kai suddenly appears before Kyosuke... The story unfolds as follows: the sequel, "Kyoukai no Melody 2," and the first volume of the comic adaptation will be released simultaneously on November 25th.
Miyata commented, "It has been decided that Melody of the Boundary will be made into an anime. I have loved anime since I was a child, and I have always wanted to make my own anime one day! In order to make my dream come true, I learned how to write novels and created light novels, and have come this far. When it was decided that it would be made into an anime, I was really happy, but because I love anime, I also felt pressure not to make it a half-baked work. I would be happy if you could support one anime otaku who has the dream of making an anime and is making it come true. Volume 2 of the light novel and volume 1 of the comic will be released on the 25th, so I hope you will look forward to those as well."
