On November 10th, Nao Kosaka of the idol group "Hinatazaka46" appeared on stage with leading actors Riko Fukumoto and Kyohei Takahashi at the premiere screening of WOWOW's "Serial Drama W-30 'Strobe Edge Season 1'" held in Tokyo, and talked about her memories of filming.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Io Sakisaka, which has sold over 8 million copies (including digital editions) across 10 volumes, and is a full-fledged youth love story divided into two parts: Season 1 and Season 2. It is currently airing on WOWOW Prime every Friday at 11pm, and all six episodes of Season 1 are available to stream on WOWOW On Demand.
Kosaka played Sayuri, the best friend of the heroine Ninako (Fukumoto), who has feelings for Daiki (Motoki Nakazawa), who has feelings for Ninako. Looking back on the filming, she said, "It was my first time meeting everyone here, and I was a bit shy, but everyone was so kind and I was able to film in a relaxed atmosphere."
This is his first time appearing in a youth love story, and he reflected on his role, saying, "The scene at the end of episode 1 where I confess my feelings on the rooftop was particularly difficult because I knew that (Daiki) liked his friend (Ninako), but I still had to express my feelings.I spent every day reading the original work and the script, imagining all sorts of things as I went along."
Koki Yamashita, Motoki Nakazawa, Hey! Say! JUMP's Kei Inoo, and Chiba Yudai also appeared at the premiere screening.
