The fifth episode of the drama "When I Was Young, There Was a God" (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring actor Kitamura Yukiya and co-starring Nakama Yukie, aired on November 6th. The scene in which Jun, played by Kotaki Nozomu of the popular group WEST., said, "I was a kid who was always worrying about things," struck a chord with viewers.

Nagashima Shinichi (Kusakari Masao) and Satoko (Agawa Sawako) have lost their daughter and son-in-law, and are living with their grandchildren Rin (Wachi Yuzuha) and Makoto (Yamamoto Yuzuki). After hearing the story, the residents of "Tasogare States" decide to hold a "Welcome Back & Welcome Party" for Rin and Makoto.
Jun attended a residents' gathering for the first time. When Satoko said, "Being a firefighter is a tough job, isn't it?" Jun confessed, "But there are easy parts too." He said that the part about not having any hesitation about what he has to do, like putting out fires and saving people, is what makes it "easy."
"I just didn't like it. I was always indecisive. I was the kind of kid who was always worrying. I wondered about the people around me, like, 'What are they thinking right now?' or 'I wonder if they were upset about what I did.' I was the kind of kid who was always thinking about things over and over. I guess you could say I was quite a worrier..."
He was born and raised as the son of Ogura Wataru (Kitamura) and his wife Ann (Nakama). From a young age, he was aware that Ann intended to divorce Wataru when his younger sister Yuzu (Kondo Hana) turned 20.
Jun's inner thoughts, which he had been acting cheerfully to avoid worrying Ann, were revealed, and comments such as "Jun... made me cry," "Oh no, Jun is sobbing," "It's okay to stop being so considerate. I want Jun to live for himself too," "From next time onwards, I think I'll cry every time I see Jun's smile," "My own son is such an angel, so I can relate to the fact that he must have been so considerate like Jun, which made me cry," and "I totally understand what Jun is saying" spread on social media.
