The third episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on October 25th. The episode featured a scene in which Takagi (Mamiya) repairs his relationship with Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto), a man he had lost contact with in elementary school, which caused a stir on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers.
In the third episode, Takagi's premonition comes true, and Nico-chan, also known as Emi (Matsui Rena), becomes the third victim. Takagi realizes that the culprit is committing the crimes according to the lyrics of a parody song that Takagi and the other six wrote 22 years ago, and thinks, "Turbo will be the next target."
Takagi's best friend, Koyama, also known as Tabo, runs an app development company in the US and coincidentally returned to Japan for a press conference to promote a new business venture. However, Sonoko (played by Araki) is suspicious, asking, "Just happened to be back in Japan...?" Takagi continues to investigate, thinking that Koyama couldn't be the culprit, but Koyama, who has realised that the targets of the crime were six people Sonoko has a grudge against, says that Sonoko must be seeking revenge.
Later, Takagi goes to the snack bar "Imakuni" and reveals to the bar owner Imakuni (Junki Tozuka) and others that he and Koyama had cut off their friendship when they were in elementary school. Takagi invites Koyama to go and retrieve the three's treasured cards that Sakurai (Kudo Asuka) had stolen from him by a student from another school, but Koyama, who had been busy attending cram school, declines the invitation, saying that he might have lost the card as well, which led to a big fight with Takagi.
Meanwhile, Sonoko contacts Koyama, requesting an interview. Koyama suspects Sonoko of being the culprit, but Sonoko denies it. Meanwhile, Sakurai regains consciousness, and Takagi goes to Sakurai's hospital room. Sakurai reveals that Koyama regrets breaking off their friendship... and so the story unfolds.
The episode then depicts a scene in which Koyama holds a press conference for the new service, with Takagi and Sonoko watching. After successfully completing his presentation, Koyama is surrounded by reporters for an interview, but Takagi notices that a large pane of glass is about to fall on Koyama's head due to falling debris. Takagi rushes to Koyama and manages to save him from the pane just in time.
Towards the end of the film, Koyama, having finished being questioned by the police, goes to the snack bar "Imakuni" with Takagi. During their conversation, Imakuni sees a card Koyama has in his wallet and exclaims, "Obelisk!", to which Koyama responds, "Do you know?" and shows him the card. It is a card that the three of them, along with Takagi and Sakurai, had each treasured as "treasures" in their elementary school days, and it was the reason they had lost contact with each other. Takagi is surprised, but he quickly takes his own card out of his wallet and places it on the table, then makes eye contact with Koyama and they both laugh.
On social media, many people were excited about the revival of Takagi and Koyama's friendship. Comments such as "What are these two doing, it makes me want to cry," "They're both so cute lol," "So hot," "Men's friendship! He had the card in his wallet," and "I'm glad they made up!" were posted.
