The story is based on the novel of the same name by Kazuma Hayami. Eiji Kurisu admired his father, who was a tax accountant, and followed in his footsteps, but he experienced setbacks and lost hope. However, his life takes a major turn when he meets Kozo Sanno (played by Koichi Sato), a horse owner.
With the horse racing division facing closure if they fail to win a race in the JRA this year, Kozo (Koichi Sato) heads to the Miho Training Center with Kurisu. However, he faces opposition from trainer Tadokoro and ends up parting ways with him.
Kurisu begins looking for a new trainer and meets an excellent trainer named Hironaka (Masanobu Ando), who agrees to take care of two horses, Royal Fight and Royal Izanya.
Hironaka believes that Royal Izanya has a higher chance of winning than Royal Fight, so he proposes to Kozo and his team that they switch the races the two horses were planning to run in. The plan is to move Izanya, who has always run on dirt, to a maiden race on turf, and Fight, who has always run on turf, to dirt. At first, Kozo is opposed to Hironaka's plan, but reluctantly accepts it.
On the day of the race, Izanya took the lead and made a huge breakaway, winning the race. Kurisu, who was watching the race, was left speechless, saying "Eh...", before bursting into tears. He was shown expressing his joy to Kozo, who was standing next to him, saying, "President... We did it! We did it, President! We did it!"
On social media, the film garnered attention, with comments such as, "Tsumabuki's tears always touch me," "Satoshi Tsumabuki's crumpled crying face is just as precious as it was back then," and "Tsumabuki's crying acting is really good. It really touches you."
