It has been revealed that actress Noriko Eguchi Extremely Inappropriate! early in the new year! ~Can't we talk seriously?~" (Extremely Inappropriate! PM, January 4, 2026), a spin-off of the popular drama "So Extremely Inappropriate! ( Futehodo)" (TBS). She will play Taira Junko, a metropolitan assembly member who influences Nagisa, played by Riisa Naka.
The drama follows Ogawa Ichiro (Sadao Abe), a Spartan-oriented junior high school physical education teacher who accidentally travels from 1986 (Showa 61) to 2024, where he makes a series of remarks that are "inappropriate" in the Reiwa era and disregard compliance. This is a low-minded time-travel comedy that gives people in the Reiwa era, who are bound by compliance, an opportunity to think. It depicts people who live their lives to the fullest, always "valuing their family" and "valuing their work," no matter the era.
The special drama follows on from the events of the serial drama. Ichiro, a Showa-era man who has been given the ability to travel to any era he likes through a time tunnel, rises up again to change the future of his daughter Junko (played by Yuumi Kawai). This time he travels not only to the Reiwa era, but also to the future and the past, causing trouble for people wherever he goes.
The synopsis has also been released. Eguchi plays Taira Junko, a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly who gains support from the public with her outspoken comments. Meanwhile, Nagisa, who has been transferred to the news department, becomes interested in politics after meeting Taira, and becomes angry at the social trend that prohibits people from commenting on politics. Taira then enters national politics, and an incident breaks out that could lead to Japan's first female prime minister. Then, as the incident also involves Nagisa, Ichiro learns of this future...
◇ Noriko Noriko Eguchi
I'm Noriko Eguchi, and I've been given the opportunity to participate in this production. When I first received and read the script, I laughed out loud. It will be broadcast over the New Year, so I hope everyone will watch it on TV and laugh out loud in the new year!
Please be sure to watch it. Thank you.
◇Producer Akira Isoyama
From the moment we began discussing with Miyato about having Japan's first female prime minister appear in the sequel to "Extremely Inappropriate!", we had already decided on Noriko Eguchi as the cast member. In reality, she was extremely busy and schedule adjustments were difficult, and we almost gave up many times, but we begged her, saying, "There's no other replacement!", and she finally agreed to appear. I think Eguchi is a wonderful actor, always precise and refined in her acting. This time, she had to sing and dance, which must have been a big burden for her, but she easily responded to Director Kaneko's detailed requests and brought to life the role of an incredibly cool female politician. If there was a politician like her, I would definitely vote for her. Please look forward to it.
◇Synopsis
It's New Year 2026. As Nagisa (Riisa Naka) is rearranging the calendar at the cafe "SCANDAL," Ichiro (Sadao Abe) from the Showa era appears through the wall, accompanied by the owner (Hakamada Yoshihiko) and 83-year-old Inoue (Ono Takehiko). They have returned using the "time tunnel" created by Inoue's (83) technology.
Using the "time tunnel" that can now travel to any era of his choosing, Ichiro immediately sends Kiyoshi (Aito Sakamoto) to the summer of 1987 and instructs him to prevent Junko (Yuumi Kawai) and Yuzuru (Ryo Nishikido) from meeting, but their fateful encounter cannot be avoided.
Meanwhile, Ichiro is reminded of "that day" and finds himself in January 1995, the day before the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. While Inoue (Hiroki Miyake) tells him not to create a time paradox, Ichiro is supposed to persuade the 1995 Ichiro to stop Junko from taking Ichiro, who is staying at the Ogawa house, to Kobe, but an unexpected visitor is there before him...
The year is 2026 again. Nagisa (Riisa Naka) is transferred to the news department and is put in charge of a special political program. She is impressed by the comments and political stance of Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly member Taira Junko (Noriko Eguchi), who appears on the program, and becomes devoted to her. However, when Nagisa passionately speaks about Taira, Akitsu (Hayato Isomura) and the others look annoyed. Coincidentally, Yashima Tomohito (Yashima Tomohito) has just caused a stir by making political comments on social media. Nagisa vents her anger at the social trend that prohibits people from talking about politics, asking, "You don't like talking about politics? Can't we have serious discussions?"
Later, Taira decides to run in the national election, and the special political program cannot be broadcast to ensure fairness with other candidates. When Nagisa finds out about this...
At the same time, Ichiro travels to the year 2036, where Taira has been recommended as Prime Minister. On the brink of Japan's first female Prime Minister being born...or not...an incident breaks out. It also involves Nagisa. Upon learning of this future, Ichiro takes an outrageous action...!?
Ichiro wants to protect the future of his grandson Nagisa and his daughter Junko. Behind Ichiro's reckless behavior lies a sincere love for his family and friends. Will Ichiro's resolve be put to the test across the ages?
