The visuals for "Lloyd's Past Arc" from Season 3 of the TV anime "SPY×FAMILY," based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo that is currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," have been released. The "Lloyd's Past Arc," which depicts Lloyd's past, begins with episode 39, "MISSION: 39 Avoid the Lightning / Memory of ■■■■ I," which will air on October 11th, and the visuals have been released.
Standing under a red sky that can be interpreted as both a sunset and the flames of war, Twilight gazes upon Lloyd as a child, huddled among the rubble destroyed by the war. This visual depicts Lloyd's origins, revealing Twilight's determination to become a spy in order to create "a world where children (himself) don't cry." The "Lloyd Past Arc" will reach its climax in the 40th episode, which will be aired on October 18th.
A creditless version of the ending video has also been released on YouTube. The video features the ending theme "Actor" by Rira Ikuta, and shows scenes of a young Lloyd playing innocently with his friends, as well as Lloyd waking up from a dream and spending his peaceful daily life with the Forger family. The CD for "Actor" will be released on October 29th.
"SPY×FAMILY" began serialization on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" in March 2019. The story follows a skilled spy who creates a temporary family for the sake of his mission and starts a new life. The father is a spy, the daughter has psychic powers, and the mother is an assassin, and they all live together while hiding their true identities.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2022, the second season from October to December 2022, and season 2 from October to December 2023. The animated film "Spy × Family Code: White" was released in December 2023 and was a huge hit, grossing over 6.32 billion yen. The comic series has sold over 38 million copies in total. Season 3 is currently airing every Saturday from 11:00 PM on TV Tokyo and other channels.
