It has been announced that all new serializations starting in the manga magazine "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) will be translated into English and simultaneously distributed worldwide (excluding Japan, China, and Korea) on the overseas manga app and service "MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA." The English translation will begin with Yuji Ninomiya's baseball manga "BUNGO-unreal-," which began serialization in the magazine's 45th issue, released on Getsuku.
"MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA," which launched in 2019, simultaneously releases serialized and one-shot stories from "Weekly Shonen Jump" and "Shonen Jump+" (published by the same publisher) in multiple languages. Currently, some works from "Weekly Young Jump" are simultaneously distributed on "MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA," but in the future, all new serializations will be simultaneously distributed, with the aim of reaching overseas readers and becoming hits overseas.
"BUNGO" began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in December 2014. Set in the world of junior high school baseball, it depicts the fierce battles and struggles of elite baseball players before they move on to high school. Ishihama Bungo, who grew up in a town without a youth baseball team, and Noda Yukio, a member of the Japanese youth baseball team, meet in junior high school and both join the super-strong Shio Senior team. The junior high school arc concluded in December 2024, and the new high school arc, "BUNGO -unreal-," began serialization on Getsuku.
