A screening with a stage greeting to celebrate the completion of the animated film "Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE - The Miracle of Encounter!", a "miraculous collaboration" between the popular anime and game series "Aikatsu!" and "PriPara," was held on September 29th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo). The film commemorates the 10th anniversary of "PriPara" and the "Aikatsu!" Akari Ozora generation, and featured Shimoji Murasakino, who plays Aikatsu!'s Akari Ozora, Akaneya Himika, who plays Manaka Lala in "PriPara," and director Okawa Takahiro. Shimoji and Akaneya spoke about their feelings towards "Aikatsu!" and "PriPara."
When Shimoji and Akaneya were asked about how they first encountered "Aikatsu!" and "PriPara," Shimoji said, "It was a miracle!", and Akaneya nodded and said, "Same here!"
Shimoji said, "If we hadn't met, I don't think we would have had such a wonderful future. That's how important this work is to me. I think it's a miracle that I was able to meet you all," while Akaneya expressed her feelings, calling her "an indispensable presence."
Shimoji commented on the highlights of the film, saying, "It touched me right from the start. I think some people cried," while Akaneya praised it, saying, "It's the best in every way!"
Director Okawa spoke about the thoughts he put into this "miraculous collaboration," saying, "I wanted to convey the story, visuals, and characters in the atmosphere of the time."
The film will be directed by Takahiro Okawa, with Ryuichi Kimura and Makoto Moriwaki, who have both worked on "Aikatsu!" and "PriPara," participating as supervisors. The film will be produced by a team of experienced staff from both films, including animation director Tatsuya Akitsu and CG director Yoshihiro Otobe. It will be released on October 10th.
