The first special episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan ," starring Mio Imada , titled "Ken-chan's Proposal," will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 11 p.m. on September 29th. Fumiya Takahashi , who plays the main character Kentaro Karashima , said, "When Meiko ( Nanoka Hara) and Kentaro got married in the main story, I received a lot of feedback from people, and while I was acting, I was thinking about how he proposed and what words Kentaro used to express his love. When I saw the proposal depicted in this special episode, I thought, 'I see!'"
"Anpan" is based on the married Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). The series depicts how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of troubles to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice," and aired its final episode on the 26th.
In "Ken-chan's Proposal," Kentaro and the cafe manager (Yuuma Nishimura) are preparing to propose to Meiko before her birthday party. Ranko (Yuumi Kawai) arrives earlier than planned and becomes anxious when she hears his plan.
Furthermore, Nobu (Imada) and Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) arrive before Meiko, leaving Kentaro flustered by this unexpected turn of events. What will become of this once-in-a-lifetime proposal plan?
Takahashi revealed, "I was so happy when I heard that I would be drawing 'Ken-chan's Proposal' for the special edition of ' Anpan'!"
When asked about the highlights of the show, he said, "It's a special episode that's very much like Kentaro; he's hectic and clumsy, but also honest and straightforward, and you can really get the sense that he always put Meiko first!"
