A Star Brighter Than the Sun: Love at first sight x first love x childhood friend special movie released in Ikebukuro

A special visual and movie for the TV anime "A Star Brighter Than the Sun," based on the manga by Kawahara Kazune, known for works such as "Sensei!", "High School Debut," and "Aozora Yell," was unveiled on September 29th at Smile Station Vision C-2 of Seibu Railway's Ikebukuro Station in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Beautiful images from the anime, themed around "love at first sight," "first love," and "childhood friends," are decorating the streets of Ikebukuro.

"A Star Brighter Than the Sun" is a manga that has been serialized in Bessatsu Margaret (Shueisha) since June 2021. It depicts the first love of Iwata Sakue, a girl with stronger-than-average physique. When Iwata Sakue was in elementary school, she fell in love at first sight with Kamishiro Kouki. Kamishiro was small and skinny, but by middle school he had grown into a refreshingly handsome man, and they had become distant figures. However, the final middle school sports festival triggers the first love that she had kept hidden deep in her heart to come to life. The anime will be broadcast on TBS every Thursday at 11:56 PM starting October 2nd.

"Love at first sight," "first love," and "childhood friends" are common settings in romance manga, but when TBS, which produces the anime, conducted a survey of approximately 10,000 people nationwide, the results showed that only 9 people, or 0.09%, ended up with their "childhood friend who was love at first sight and their first love," becoming their partner.

Advertisements with the themes of "love at first sight," "first love," and "childhood friends" will be displayed at Ikebukuro Station's Panorama Ikebukuro A, and in Sapporo, where the anime is set, one side of the interior banners in six locations on all lines and in all carriages of the Sapporo Municipal Subway will be hijacked. Until October 5th.

The campaign will also be held on social media, and 51 people who follow the official X account (@tamahoshi_anime) and repost the target post will be entered into a draw to win a "Love Cheers! Original Clear Card," which, when stacked together, will bring Sakuhide and Kamishiro closer together. In addition, three people who answer the quiz correctly will be entered into a draw to win a script signed by Minori Fujidera, who plays Sakuhide, and Yuki Ono, who plays Kamishiro.
