A promotional video for "Aqours Documentary," the first and last documentary film about the school idol group Aqours from the popular anime series "Love Live!", "Love Live! Sunshine!!," has been released on YouTube. The film will be released in 111 theaters on September 26th.
Aqours has also been making waves for holding their "final solo concert," "Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours Finale LoveLive! ~Eternal Stage~," where all nine members of the group took to the stage at the Belluna Dome (Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture) on June 21st and 22nd. The documentary film depicts the thoughts of the nine members of the group who have been together for about 10 years since their formation on June 30th, 2015, through footage from that time and in-depth coverage of the three months leading up to their "final solo concert."
"Love Live! Sunshine!!" began in 2015 in magazines such as Dengeki G's Magazine (KADOKAWA). The story is set at Uranohoshi Girls' Private High School in Uchiura, a seaside town in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and follows Aqours as they strive to become "sparkling school idols." The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2016, and the second season from October to December 2017. The animated film "Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow" was released in January 2019.
