It has been revealed that the third season of the TV anime " Dandadan ," based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu , currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," will be produced. The final episode of the second season, episode 24, "Clash! Space Monster vs. Giant Robot!", was broadcast on the late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" on MBS/TBS on September 18th, and the production of the third season was announced. Visuals featuring Momo, Okarun, and Turbo Granny were also released.
In the final episode of the second season, Momo and her friends used the giant Buddha robot and everyone's abilities to defeat a space monster. Since the monster had shrunk after being defeated and couldn't be left in the middle of town, Okarun and Jiji decided to carry it to Momo's house. Okarun suddenly noticed that the space monster had a zipper, and when he unzipped it, a beautiful girl appeared from inside. The beautiful girl kissed Okarun, who was right in front of her as she woke up, and Momo witnessed the scene... This was the shocking turn of events that brought the second season to a close.
"Dandadan" began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" in April 2021. It depicts Momo, a high school girl from a family of psychics, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast, as they confront one mysterious phenomenon after another. The comic has sold over 10 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Super Animeism TURBO from October to December 2024. The second season began airing in the same time slot in July, with the final episode airing on September 18th.
