It has been announced that Moriame's light novel "Victoria with a Lot of Cards in Her Hand," published by MF Books (KADOKAWA), will be adapted into a TV anime. It will be directed by Kimura Nobukage and produced by Studio Deen. The cast will include Chika Anzai who formerly operated under the name "Chloe,"Shion Wakayama as Nonna, a girl who was abandoned by her mother in a square in the Kingdom of Ashbury and taken in by Victoria, and Yohei Azakami as Jeffrey Asher, the commander of the Second Knights who guard the capital of the Kingdom of Ashbury.
The story is about Chloe, a skilled operative who leaves the organization and takes a new step as a different person called Victoria. She meets a young girl named Nonna and the loyal leader of the Knights, Jeffrey, and they become important to each other.
Original author Moriame commented, "This work is the story of Victoria, who became an ace spy but never lost her freedom of mind. Victoria meets the innocent Nonna, the sincere Jeffrey, and the kind-hearted people around her, and learns what ordinary happiness is. How will she change, having lived her life without relying on anyone until then? Please enjoy watching the anime and watching her emotional growth and change."
Director Kimura, who is working on the animation, said, "Victoria with a Lot of Cards in Her Hand is a dense story where beliefs and emotions intersect. We will carefully depict the tension and human drama with the direction and beautiful visuals that only anime can provide. We hope to add new charm without destroying the atmosphere of the original and deliver an exciting experience to everyone. The door to destiny now opens in this epic anime about Victoria repairing her life."
Yasumi commented, "After reading the original work... I was drawn to the story of how Victoria's title as a former spy becomes a card that leads to happiness for her and those around her, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of Victoria as a person, and her indescribable cuteness. During the dubbing, I will work hard together with the production team and cast to bring out the most of her charm. I hope you enjoy watching her journey through her second life in animation. Wakayama wrote, "Nonna comes from unfortunate circumstances, but as she experiences Victoria's love, she gradually opens up. I will do my best to play Nonna, who is intelligent and perceptive, but also has a childlike cuteness! I am really looking forward to the dubbing!"
