It has been announced that the popular anime series "Mr. Osomatsu" will collaborate with the film "The Oliver the Dog, (Gosh!!) This Guy Movie" (released September 26th). The film is based on the TV drama series, which has a unique premise in which police dog handler Aoba Ippei sees his partner, police dog Oliver, as an old man in a dog costume... and actor Joe Odagiri plays the costumed Oliver, which has also become a hot topic. A collaborative visual featuring the sextuplets from "Mr. Osomatsu" and Oliver has been released.
The collaboration visual depicts Oliver getting lost in the world of "Mr. Osomatsu" after passing through a mysterious door that must not be opened, a key to the film. The sextuplets are wearing the same uniforms as Aoba Ippei, the Hazama Prefectural Police, expressing the strange and unique world of "The sextuplets getting jobs at the prefectural police!?" Collaboration merchandise will also be on sale.
"Mr. Osomatsu" is based on Fujio Akatsuka's comedy manga "Osomatsu kun." It depicts the daily lives of the sextuplets as adults, and its extreme humor has made it popular among female anime fans.
