That night, when Kurata returned to work, he found Tsubasa working alone. Kurata, who was raised by foster parents Minamino Jo (Yanagiba Toshiro), told Tsubasa, "I told my biological father (Itao Itsuji, Soichiro) that I didn't want to see him again. He's so selfish. He just showed up out of nowhere and told me all his feelings. It makes me really sad to think that I was born to parents like that. But we're still father and son."
Tsubasa, who had been deeply touched by Kurata's previous words that "blood ties aren't the only way parents and children should be," confessed that he had visited Jo's house yesterday. He told Kurata, "The warmth of Jo and (his wife) Hitomi (Atsuko Sakurai) was very comforting. I realized that this is where you grew up. You were raised with so much love from the two of you, which is why you are the Kurata you are today, able to work so hard for your child."
"Kurata-san, you said before that you might not be able to become a parent because you were abused, but I'm sure you'll be fine now. I guarantee it."
Kurata, who had been listening to Tsubasa's words while holding back tears, sniffed and stood up, saying, "I'm tired, so I'm going home." Just as he was about to leave the room, Kurata sniffed again and expressed his gratitude, saying, "Natsui-san, thank you."
On social media, people were talking about the episode, saying things like, "I'm sure Kurata's words, 'I'm sure you'll be fine now. I guarantee it,' gently opened up Kurata's heart, which had been so stubbornly closed for so long. Kurata's 'thank you' to Tsubasa was so heartwarming," "Tsubasa's words saved me. I also cried when Kurata said thank you to Tsubasa," "Clutter's 'thank you' was amazing...," "The sight of Clutter sniffling from behind brought me to tears," and "This was the episode where Kento's acting shone the most."
The drama is set in a seaside child consultation center and depicts Natsui Tsubasa as a new child welfare officer, dealing with various children and parents and growing together. This will be Fukuhara's first lead role in a " Getsuku" drama.
