WOWOW, which will broadcast live the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Tournament, which begins on September 24th, has partnered with AMATELUS, the operator of SwipeVideo, to provide multi-angle coverage of the matches featuring Kei Nishikori and Carlos Alcaraz (Spain).
The tournament is the only official men's ATP Tour tournament to be held in Japan, and will mark Alcaraz's first appearance. Other players scheduled to take part include Kei Nishikori, who reached the quarterfinals of the singles finals last year in his first appearance in six years, 2022 champion and world No. 4 Taylor Fritz (USA), No. 5 Jack Draper (UK), and 2023 champion and No. 6 Ben Shelton (USA). The tournament will be held from September 24 to 30 at Ariake Coliseum and Ariake Tennis Forest Park (both in Tokyo's Koto Ward).
The multi-angle broadcast will add three camera angles installed at the venue to WOWOW's live broadcast footage, for a total of four angles. You can enjoy the match by freely switching between the angles you want to see, such as an angle that keeps showing only Nishikori and Alcaraz, at any time you want. It supports both live and archived broadcasts.
Tickets will be sold on a per-match basis for 1,100 yen. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale around September 23rd, when the match-ups for the main tournament of the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis are announced. For more details, please visit the Swipe Video Sales Service website.
