The details of the role of Joe Odagiri, also known as the "Sold Out Queen of Reiwa," who was announced to appear in the film "THE Oliver the Dog, (Gosh!!) This Guy Movie" (released September 26th), which was written, directed, and edited by actor Hina Kikuchi and in which he plays the role of "Dog," have now been revealed.
This film is the movie version of the drama "Oliver the Dog, (Gosh!!) This Guy," which aired on NHK with season 1 in 2021 and season 2 in 2022. The drama depicts the various human dramas that unfold in a mysterious town, along with the protagonist, police dog officer Ippei Aoba (Sōsuke Ikematsu), and his partner police dog, Oliver (Odagiri), as they tackle cases.
The film will feature the same cast members from the TV series as the lead actor Ikematsu, Kumiko Aso , Tsubasa Honda, Amane Okayama, Haru Kuroki, Koichi Sato Suzuki, Masatoshi Nagase, Koichi Sato, Kyusaku Shimada, Shohei Uno, and Yu Kashii, as well as new cast members Eri Fukatsu, who will be appearing in a film for the first time in eight years, Riho Yoshioka, Aoi Morikawa Kaga, Aoi Morikawa, and Masahiro Takashima.
Among the many famous cast members is the young and up-and-coming actor Kikuchi. Kikuchi has published three photobooks to date. His photobook "Memory," published in March of this year, was immediately reprinted, and he has been very successful as a model. Furthermore, he made his acting debut in the drama "Midsummer's Boy ~ 19452020" (2020), and has since appeared in numerous films and dramas.
This year, he has appeared in four films, including this one: "Last Will, Public," "V. MARIA," and "Beethoven Fabrication," in which he also plays the lead role. He is also steadily stepping up as an actor, appearing in the currently airing drama "We Still Don't Know the School Rules of That Planet" (Kantele/Fuji TV).
Kikuchi plays an unnamed character who works part-time at the dog cafe "DOGGY SUE'S DINER" run by the owner (Shimada). Although she is a rare character who only works on Tuesdays, she makes an impactful appearance wearing lots of accessories and eccentric fashion.
He also brilliantly plays an elusive and mysterious character who never loses his own pace, even while Ten-chan (Yoshioka), Urushibara Tomiaki (Kaga), and Urushibara Saeko (Aso) are having a discussion in the store.
In addition, new cuts have been released showing Kikuchi dancing with an expressionless face, and glaring at the bartender and thrusting his fist despite only being a part-timer. We can't wait to see Kikuchi, who has taken on a new role in the mysterious world created by director Odagiri, on the big screen in the cinema.
