Ryuya Shimekake of the popular group "Travis Japan" will be making his first appearance on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on September 3rd.
He is a member of "Travis Japan," a group that continues to perform worldwide, using dance as a weapon. His surname, Shichigosankake, is not particularly uncommon in his hometown of Ibaraki, but he says that people are often surprised by it since coming to Tokyo. There are also scenes where he introduces himself to Kuroyanagi, showing off his special skills of "continuous cute poses" and dancing.
His father is a fan of Takuya Kimura and his mother is a fan of Kamenashi Kazuya, and they went to various concerts together since childhood. When he was in elementary school, he sent in his own resume and entered the entertainment industry. It was hard to commute to lessons every day from Ibaraki, but his parents watched over him without saying a word. As his training period grew longer, there was a time when he was worried about how he would make his debut. He reveals that it was the popular group Kis-My-Ft2 that supported him during that time.
