Actor Keita Koshiyama's first starring role in the film "My Sun" (directed by Daishi Okuyama, 2024) will be available exclusively on the video streaming service FOD from September 6th. Koshiyama is a notable young actor who has also appeared in the TV drama "We Still Don't Know the School Rules of That Planet" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm) and the film "National Treasure" (directed by Lee Sang-il). His performance in the film earned him numerous awards for newcomers, including the 48th Japan Academy Awards.
The film is a heartwarming story about figure skating. It depicts the relationship between Takuya (Koshiyama), a boy with a stutter who is not good at ice hockey, Sakura (Nakanishi Kiara), a young skater who shines on the ice, and their coach, Arakawa (Ikematsu Sosuke), who teaches skating in her boyfriend's hometown and watches over them.
Filmed in various locations in Hokkaido in the winter and spring of 2023, the film is also a tale of a tender and sad love story that unfolds from the moment the snow begins to fall until it melts.
