The 110th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 29th, and two voice actors from the popular anime "Soreike! Anpanman" (Nippon TV) made a surprise appearance without prior notice, which became a hot topic among viewers.
In May 1967, Nobu (Imada) and Taka ( Takumi Kitamura) move out and start living with Hatako (Noriko Eguchi). Meanwhile, Taka receives a call from a broadcasting station director asking him to urgently write a script by the next morning to fill in a gap in a radio drama. Hatako answers the phone and accepts the request, which gives Taka the idea of adapting a short radio drama she had previously written, "The Gentle Lion."
Taka rewrote the ending and finished writing a 30-minute radio drama in one night. The next day, when "The Gentle Lion" was playing on the radio, Yagi (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki), Ranko (played by Yuumi Kawai Kawai), Tomiko (played by Nanako Matsushima), Chiyoko (played by Naho Toda), and Osamu Teshima (played by Gordon Maeda) were also listening to the story.
"The Gentle Lion" tells the story of the bond between Buruburu, a lion who has lost his mother, and Mukumuku, a dog who acts as a mother to him. The drama's official account (@asadora_nhk) wrote, "The voices of Buruburu and Mukumuku in 'The Gentle Lion' are provided by Yanagisawa Michiyo and Miyuki Sawashiro," revealing that Yanagisawa, who plays Currypanman in "Soreike! Anpanman," and Sawashiro, who plays Princess Salad, also provided the voices for the radio drama.
Comments on social media included, "The voices alone made me cry," "Was it Currypanman and Salad Princess?", "Seriously? Sawashiro's 'Gentle Lion' made me cry..." "The voice actors are truly amazing," "I thought I'd heard that voice before," and "I didn't even notice."
