TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Nikko (Tochigi Prefecture) on the August Getsuku broadcast as the second installment of the Tobu Railway Line series.
Nikko, famous for its World Heritage sites such as Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple, can be reached from Asakusa in just under two hours on Tobu Railway's new limited express Spacia X. In addition to the World Heritage sites, the program introduces recommended cool spots and gourmet food for the summer holidays. Featured are shaved ice made from natural ice, the famous yuba (tofu skin) that can be eaten in-store, and yokan (sweet bean jelly) from a long-established shop wrapped in bamboo bark.
In addition, we will introduce a fried noodle shop where you can season it to your liking, an omelet rice and cheesecake served in a Western-style stone building, the oldest resort hotel in Japan, and an infinity hot spring on the rooftop with a panoramic view of the mountains. We will also cover a great man who made the city's history, even more famous than Tokugawa Ieyasu.
The guests are author Hiroshi Aramata and Kurumi Takase from the idol group BEYOOOOONDS.
