The 89th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on July 31st, and viewers were drawn to the words and actions of Yagi ( Satoshi Tsumabuki).
In episode 89, Nobu (Imada) and Taka (Takumi Kitamura) move into a tenement house in Nakameguro. When Taka returns home soaked in the rain to find a hole in the ceiling of the shared bathroom, Nobu laughs and wipes his hair.
One day, the Asada family visits the couple's new home. As the four of them are in a small room, Taka asks Yagi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) if he can let them stay at his house. When Yagi asks, "Don't you draw manga?" Taka replies, "Yes, I do. Even if I'm working, I still draw manga."
When Yagi said about the popular manga artist Teshima Osamu, "I heard that manga artist is a medical student," Taka replied impatiently, "A medical student? He's drawing such interesting manga while aiming to become a doctor?" and "He's undoubtedly a genius. When I read stuff like that, I get really anxious. I want to start drawing manga as soon as possible."
When Yagi asked, "Then why did you get a job?" Taka replied, "Because I want to make Nobu-chan happy." Yagi was surprised, saying, "That's not like you," and asked, "I'm asking you how you feel." When Taka replied, "First of all, I want to make the person I love happy," Yagi responded, "If that's what you're happy about, then I don't mind."
Taka asked Yagi, "Do you have a family, Yagi-san?" Yagi replied, with his back to Taka, "Yes, I do."
On social media, people were saying things like, "Yagi keeps giving glimpses into his past," "It's too hard!", "It was painful that it was in the past tense," "Has he died or separated... is it his wife...?", "Did Yagi's family die in the war...?", "What happened in the past?" and "It's somehow meaningful."
