Actor Elaiza Ikeda and Yojiro Noda of the rock band RADWIMPS co-star in the NHK drama series "The Great Passage ~Watashi, Jiken Tsukurimasu~" (General TV, Tuesdays at 10pm). According to the synopsis of the 8th episode, which will be broadcast on August 5th, Ikeda's character Midori becomes aware of a serious problem. Scene cuts have also been released.
The drama is based on Shion Miura's bestselling novel and depicts the passion of the people who work on creating dictionaries from the perspective of Midori Kishibe (played by Ikeda), a young editorial staff member who has been transferred to the dictionary editorial department. Noda plays the protagonist of the original work, Mitsuya Majime, the extremely earnest head of the dictionary editorial department. The series has been broadcast on terrestrial television since June 17th in the network's "Drama 10" slot.
In episode 8, the decision to sell the digital version as a set is made, and the editing of "Odo Kai" is nearing completion. Midori (Ikeda) is shown by Majime (Noda) through the archives where the 1 million example cards collected by past editors and Matsumoto-sensei (Shibata Kyohei) are kept, and she realizes the weight of them.
