There will be a total of five episodes.
The program will be narrated by actor Kohei Matsushita, who played Jiro, the husband of the main character Etsuko in the film. Additionally, quotes from the original novel that appear during the program will be read aloud by Yo Yoshida, who played Etsuko in the 1980s British version.
