Synopsis of Episode 5 of "DOPE" released

The drama series " DOPE " (TBS, Fridays at 10pm) co-stars Kaito Takahashi of the popular group "King & Prince" and actor Tomoya Nakamura . The synopsis and stills from episode 5, which will air on August 1st, have been released.

When the news of Tsubaki's (Oshinari Shugo) death reaches the Special Investigation Division, the members accept it with solemn expressions. It is reported to be a suicide, but Saiki (Takahashi) and Jinnai (Nakamura) suspect that he may be involved in the "500 million yen theft case."

The Special Investigation Unit launches a sting operation to crack down on drug trafficking and infiltrates a nightclub. Saiki succeeds in making contact with the drug dealer, but his true identity is quickly exposed.

With the help of Jinnai and others, they manage to secure a drug dealer, but the source of the drug remains a mystery. Katsuragi (Miura Masami) orders Nicholas (Fernandez Naoyuki) to infiltrate the criminal group again, but...

The story is based on the novel of the same name (Kadokawa Bunko) by Kizaki Chiaki, who made her debut as a novelist after winning the Grand Prize at the 20th Dengeki Novel Awards for her work "Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens." Set in a near-future Japan where a mysterious new drug called "DOPE" is rampant, the story follows rookie drug enforcement officer Saiki Masato (Takahashi) and his trainer Jinnai Teppei (Nakamura) from the secretive Narcotics Control Department's Special Investigation Division (Special Investigation Division) as they attempt to solve a mysterious case.
