On July 27th, it was announced that 16-year-old Karen Kubo has joined the dance and vocal group "MISS MERCY," whose concept is "GIRLS NEW ERA." She was introduced at the group's solo live performance on the same day.
Kubo performs under the name KAREN in MISS MERCY. She joined the group after her singing and performance skills were highly evaluated. "From the day I met MISS MERCY, I was inspired by the members' straightforward attitude toward their dreams and their efforts every day. I was nervous about joining this group, which has been built up over eight years, including the trainee period, as the youngest member, but I am very grateful to the members for welcoming me so kindly," she said.
"Also, during the time from when it was decided I would join until our solo live concert, I too began to truly feel that I wanted to dedicate my life to MISS MERCY. I will be myself, be straightforward and honest. I will continue to give it my all to become an indispensable member of the group, and an artist who can move people's hearts. The seven-member group will release their latest album on August Getsuku.
