It has been announced that Shueisha's manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" and "Pokemon" will collaborate. The combined 36th and 37th issue of the magazine, which goes on sale on August 4th, will feature a group illustration on the cover drawn by the series' authors featuring characters from their serialized works and Pokemon. The illustrations released include Luffy and Pikachu drawn by Eiichiro Oda of "One Piece", Roboco and Mega Blaziken drawn by Shuhei Miyazaki of "Me & Roboco ", and Chinatsu Kano and Waninoko drawn by Kouji Miura of " Blue Box ".
The 38th issue of the magazine, which will be released on August 18th, will come with a special collaboration sticker featuring the group illustration that appears on the cover of the combined 36th and 37th issues.
"Weekly Shonen Jump" was first published in July 1968 as "Shonen Jump", a twice-monthly publication. It became a weekly publication in 1969. It has produced numerous hit works, and the combined 3rd and 4th New Year's issue of 1995 (released on December 20th, 1994) recorded the highest circulation ever for a manga magazine, at 6.53 million copies. It has produced many works whose cumulative circulation exceeds 100 million copies. It will celebrate its 55th anniversary in July 2023. It is released every Monday.
