NHK's popular nature program "Darwin Has Come!" (General TV) will be broadcasting a special episode entitled "All Kinds of Different! Special on Raising Animals," which focuses on the "raising children" that living things do to pass on life to the next generation, on July 20th at 7:20 pm.
The program on this day was an expanded 10-minute version. There are many different ways and people who raise children. A grandmother helps raise a baby killer whale to be a full-fledged hunter. A father frog who lives in the jungles of South America embarks on a great adventure by carrying a tadpole on his back to a pool of water in a hollow of a tall tree.
We look at the "forms" of parenting, filmed in locations all over the world, including an octopus using unique techniques to encourage its young to become independent, and a wild dog being bossed around by a reckless youngster.
