Aikatsu! × PriPara anime movie to be released on October 10th

It has been announced that the animated film "Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!-", a collaboration between the popular anime and game series "Aikatsu!" and "PriPara", will be released on October 10th. Takara Tomy Arts, the developer of "PriPara", and Bandai, the developer of "Aikatsu!", have held joint exhibitions and live events across the boundaries of their respective manufacturers, but to commemorate their 10th anniversary, an animated film has been produced. The "dream collaboration" of the Akari generation of "Aikatsu!" teaming up with "PriPara" has been much talked about.

The main visual of Luminous and Sorami Smile wearing matching new dresses was also released. It was also announced that the main theme "Happy Tuning" and the ending theme "Pretty x Activity" will be written with special lyrics.

The cast and staff were announced, including Shimoji Shino, who plays Ozora Akari in "Aikatsu!", and Akaneya Himika, who plays Manaka Lala in "PriPara." It was also revealed that the film will be produced by experienced staff from both series, including chief animation director Akitsu Tatsuya and CG director Otobe Yoshihiro. Takahiro Okawa will serve as director, and Aikatsu! and PriPara directors Kimura Ryuichi and Moriwaki Makoto will participate as supervisors.

Director Okawa commented, "When this project started, I had a feeling that it would definitely be a fun movie, but the emotion I felt when I actually saw the Aikatsu! and PriPara idols singing, dancing and talking together on screen far exceeded my imagination. I am filled with the desire to share this surprise and joy with all the fans as soon as possible! I hope that those who watched both shows 10 years ago, as well as fans of both Aikatsu! and PriPara, and even those who have only recently discovered them, will come to the theater with their own memories in mind. Let's enjoy this 'festival' together!!"

The "Aikatsu! Series" is a project that began in October 2012, depicting girls as they strive to become top idols. The first TV anime, "Aikatsu!", began airing in October 2012. The "PriPara" TV anime began in July 2014, depicting Lala's struggle to become a godly idol. The smartphone app "Idol Land PriPara" is also gaining popularity.
