Abema announced the top three most commented scenes from episode 48, "The Apothecary Diaries ." In a ranking based on their own survey of scenes that garnered the most comments from viewers, the number one scene was "the appearance of a girl who looks just like Shisui."
Second place was " Jinshi forcing Maomao into a kiss," and third place was " Jinshi once again has his kiss interrupted."
The light novel version of "The Apothecary Diaries" is published by Hero Bunko (Imagine Infos), and the comic book adaptation is also gaining popularity. The total number of copies of the original series has exceeded 40 million. The story is set in a glamorous harem on a certain continent, where a poison taster girl named Maomao and the handsome harem manager Jinshi get caught up in an incident that takes place in a harem filled with conspiracies and rumors.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season began airing on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Fura-ani)" on January 10th, with the final episode airing on July 4th. A sequel has also been announced.
