The idol group CUTIE STREET was selected for the music category of the TikTok First Half Trend Awards 2025, which recognizes the content and keywords that were popular on TikTok in the first half of 2025, and attended the awards ceremony held in Tokyo on June 24th.
CUTIE STREET is an eight-member group that debuted in August last year. Their debut single "Kawaii Dake Dame Desu Ka?" has been a hot topic, with over 6.2 billion views on TikTok.
Upon receiving the award, Ayano Masuda said with a smile, "I'm really surprised, and I'm happy because TikTok was one of the ways people found out about our group." MC "Ano-chan" Ano said, "Everyone was doing (dance cover videos). I also danced outside," and Emiru Kawamoto said with a smile, "We all had a big report session saying, 'Ano-chan danced for us!'"
Later on stage, CUTIE STREET taught ano the choreography to "Isn't It Enough to Just Be Cute?" and they filmed a collaborative video.
This is the fifth time that the "TikTok First Half Trend Awards" have been held. The grand prize went to the popular anime "The Apothecary Diaries."
