On June 24th, NHK announcer Naoko Suzuki attended a press conference for the "100th Anniversary of Broadcasting: Space and the Future Project," which the station is running with the theme of "Space and the Future." As part of the project, the morning information program " Asaichi " (General TV, Monday to Friday 8:15am), where Suzuki serves as Caster , is also scheduled to cover space-related topics. Suzuki spoke about the projects she would like to try on " Asaichi" and themes she would like to cover.
When asked about her involvement with the project and "Asaichi," Suzuki replied, "There's nothing concrete I can say at this point, but we're working on collaborating or linking up." When asked about a project she would personally like to try, she commented, "Since it's "Asaichi," and it's a show that has a lot of big names, I'd like to hear stories from astronauts or people who actually work in space."
He continued, "Asaichi covers a wide range of topics, including, 'Is there really life in the universe?' I'm just saying this on my own, so I don't know if the staff will be able to keep up...(laughs). I'd like to see something like that," he said, making everyone around him laugh.
The "100th Anniversary of Broadcasting: Space Future Project" was launched by NHK, which celebrated its 100th anniversary of broadcasting in March 2025, as a new initiative for the next 100 years.
