Actor Sadao Abe attended the "tvasahi DRAMA FES 2025 Summer" joint press conference for TV Asahi's July drama series, held in Tokyo on June 23rd. Abe, who stars in the drama series "Shiawase na Kekkon" (Thursdays at 9pm) which starts on July 17th, said about filming, "I've been in a lot of dramas up until now, but this is the one I've been NG the most." "There are a lot of lines that are really hard to say, so it's difficult. There are a lot of lines I can't say...I can't say things like 'public indecency charges,'" he said with a wry smile.
Regarding the atmosphere on set, Abe said, "I'm having fun filming. I play a lawyer, but I also have to do variety show scenes, there's a courtroom, and it's a family drama, so it's pretty hectic, but I'm having a lot of fun."Takako Matsu , who appeared with him, said, "It feels like we're feeling our way around, but we're doing our best, watching Abe and thinking, 'It'll work out somehow.'"
The drama is an original work by Shizuka Oishi , a screenwriter who also wrote last year's NHK Taiga drama " To Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e) ." The story is about a bachelor lawyer, Harada Kotaro (Abe), who is attracted to and marries a mysterious high school art teacher, Suzuki Nerla (Matsu), but Nerla is hiding a huge secret... This is a "marriage suspense" that questions the love between a married couple.
Also attending the press conference were Aiba Masaki, Nao Omori, and Nao Matsushita , who are appearing in the drama series " The Great Chase: Metropolitan Police Department SSBC Violent Crimes Unit" (Wednesdays at 9pm, starting July Getsuku ), as well as Saito Takumi, Nagao Yuno, and Eguchi Yosuke, who are appearing in the drama series " The Kidnapping Day" (Tuesdays at 9pm, starting July 8th).
