The poster visual for the movie version of " Chainsaw Man: Reze", a sequel to the TV anime " Chainsaw Man " based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto , currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +", has been released. Along with the copy "An explosive summer for a boy and girl," the poster shows Denji and Reze holding hands and looking at each other quietly, and the moment when two demons, Chainsaw Man and Bomb, collide. In the background, Makima, Hayakawa Aki, Higashiyama Kobeni, Kishibe and other members of the Public Safety Special Demon Squad, as well as characters such as Blood Demon Power, Shark Demon Beam, Violence Demon, and Angel Demon are all gathered together.
The latest information will be announced at a panel stage by MAPPA, the production company of the series, at Anime Expo 2025, which will be held in Los Angeles from July 3 to 6. MAPPA's President and CEO Manabu Otsuka, Executive Vice President Hiroya Hasegawa, and Business & Licensing Producer Scott Dorff will be on stage.
The "Reze" episode will be the story of Reze and the main character, Denji, who also appeared at the end of the TV anime broadcast from October to December 2022, which became a hot topic. While Denji is enjoying a date with his crush Makima, he takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a girl who works at a cafe. The movie version of the anime will be released on September 19th.
"Chainsaw Man" is a dark hero action story about a boy named Denji who is possessed by a demon and works as a devil hunter. The first part was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from December 2018 to December 2020. The second part has been serialized in "Shonen Jump +" since July 2022.
