Singer-songwriter Fujii Fumiya is holding his second 47 prefecture concert tour "FUTATABI" from April this year to next year. WOWOW has been broadcasting and streaming "Fujii Fumiya x WOWOW Feature Series -FUTATABI-" featuring Fujii since April. Recently, the broadcast and streaming lineup for August to November has been announced.
Fujii was active in the 1980s as the lead vocalist of the popular group "Checkers". After that, as a solo singer, he became one of the leading artists in the J-POP world, with his song "TRUE LOVE" selling double million copies. WOWOW will broadcast "FUMIYA FUJII 60TH BIRTHDAY RED PARTY" from 4:30 pm on July 11th, and will broadcast the birthday live concert held at Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on July 11th, 2022, the day of his 60th birthday, on WOWOW Live and on WOWOW On Demand.
The release is "FUMIYA FUJII CONCERT TOUR PURE WHITE "VERSION UP"," which will be broadcast and streamed in August and contains footage of the annual end-of-year live concert at Nippon Budokan held in December 1997. Featuring CG produced by Fujii himself, and including many of his previous hit songs, it is an "ALL THAT Fujii Fumiya" experience.
The following September event will be titled "FUMIYA FUJII CONCERT TOUR 1998 ARK" and will broadcast and stream a live concert that was also held at Nippon Budokan at the end of 1998, and was produced in a way that was characteristic of Fujii, who is also a CG artist.
In October, we will broadcast and stream "FUMIYA FUJII CENTER STAGE TOUR 2000 OVER", which was held at the Nippon Budokan at the end of 2000, welcoming Takayuki Fujii as a regular member and consolidating elements of Checkers, F-BLOOD, and solo activities. This is a rare video of the countdown live to the 21st century, where tickets became a premium item.
In November, a special program called "Fujii Fumiya 40th Anniversary Debut Special Music Video Collection" will be broadcast and streamed, where you can enjoy music videos ranging from classic hits to more recent songs.
WOWOW On Demand will be streaming all archived programs, as well as 16 past programs including live performance footage available until the end of 2026.
