It has been revealed that actor Mackenyu will be appearing in his first role as a doctor in the July TBS Sunday Theatre drama " The 19th medical record " (Sundays at 9pm) starring Jun Matsumoto . This will be Arata's second time appearing in the same time slot, nine years after "Aogeba Totoshi" (2016).
The role of the actor is Kojiro Togo, a surgeon and the son of the head of surgery at Uotora General Hospital, where the story is set. Kojiro has performed numerous surgeries at a young age, and is portrayed as a person who is highly respected within the hospital for his reliable skills and calm judgment.
Nitta commented, "The character I play, Togo Kojiro, is the complete opposite of Tokushige (Akira), played by Matsumoto (a general practitioner belonging to the hospital's newly established general medicine department), and he has a personality that deals with things rationally. The source of this personality lies in his father, who is the head of surgery at the same hospital. Please pay attention to how Togo Kojiro overcomes various challenges, such as his conflicts with his father and clashes with Tokushige, and grows as a doctor."
In addition to Nitta, Kimura Yoshino will play Arimatsu Shiori, a pediatrician working at the hospital, and Tanaka Min will play Akaike Noboru, Tokushige's mentor.
