"Taigan no Kaji" Mysterious Woman's Identity Revealed

The ninth episode of the drama series " Taigan no Kaji ~Kore ga, Watashi no Ikiru Michi~" (TBS, Tuesdays at 10pm), starring actress Mikako Tabe , was broadcast on May 27th. The identity of the mysterious woman who had been sending threatening letters to Shiho (Tabe) was revealed, causing quite a stir.

By chance, Nakatani (Dean Fujioka) sees the woman who sent the threatening letter and after tailing her, he discovers her true identity: the woman is Haruka Shirayama (Risa Oda), an unmarried single mother with a three-month-old son.

Shiho visited Haruka's house with Nakatani. In a dark room with the curtains closed, a crying baby continues, and a half-eaten rice ball is placed next to a can of milk... Shiho looked at the state of the room and asked Haruka, "Are you hungry?"

After eating the udon that Shiho had made, Haruka began to tell her story. She revealed that the baby's father was not close to her, and that she had gotten pregnant after receiving only sperm from social media. She said that she had decided not to get married after seeing her mother being forced to do housework by her father, who did nothing around the house.

Haruka thought she could raise her child on her own without a husband, but the reality was not so sweet. There was no one around her who understood her and she was openly hostile towards Shiho, telling her, "It's housewives like you who are at fault."
