It has been revealed that the next-generation band "The Shun Ishiwaka Septet," led by jazz drummer Shun Ishiwaka, will hold a one-night special live performance "JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ II" at Tokyo International Forum Hall A (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on September 18th. This will be the second installment of "JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ" held in June last year.
In addition, the first wave of guest artists was announced: Robert Glasper, a five-time Grammy Award-winning American jazz pianist, Aina the End, a former member of the girl group BiSH, singer-songwriter Yasuyuki Okamura, and jazz trumpeter Terumasa Hino. The second wave of artists will be announced at a later date.
The Shun Ishiwaka Septet, led by Ishiwaka, is made up of seven members: Ishiwaka (drums), Nishida Shudai (guitar), Hosoi Tokutaro (guitar), Marty Holobek (bass), Matsumaru Chika (sax), Yamada Jozo (trumpet), and Shota Watanabe(piano). Following their performance last year, they reunited for a one-night-only session.
Tickets are priced at 16,500 yen for SS seats, 9,500 yen for S seats, and 4,000 yen for U-25 seats. Advance reservations are being accepted on the WOWOW membership site until June 1st, while e+'s fastest advance (lottery) is open until June 15th. e+'s second advance (first come, first served) will be available from 12:00 PM on June 21st until 6:00 PM on June 27th. General sales will begin at 10:00 AM on July 5th.
