Singer and talent Hiroko Moriguchi will be a guest on the music program "Rokusate! May Issue," which will be broadcast on NHK General TV (Kyushu/Okinawa region) from 6:05 pm on May 24th. After the recent public recording at the NHK Fukuoka Broadcasting Station, Moriguchi revealed her feelings, saying, "Fukuoka is where my dream began. I was very happy to be asked to appear on this occasion, the 40th anniversary of my debut, and to be able to express my gratitude to the people of Fukuoka."
Moriguchi, who sang "Ai wo Komete Mizu no Hoshi e" (With Love to the Water Planet), the opening song for the second half of the TV anime series "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," said, "On the program, there was a video clip showing that people from overseas who visited Fukuoka knew about me and my songs, and I was so moved that I cried a little. I believe that 'anime songs that have an effect on character development never disappoint!' No matter how much times change, no matter how much the rankings change, I think that there are things that each of us has that we cannot give up. That power is a lifelong treasure. I realized that this is what it means to transcend generations and borders."
"Rokusate!" will be hosted by the comedy duo "Parachute Troops." The show will feature guest talks and a live music performance with a realistic feel. This public recording will be held in conjunction with "Dontaku Hiroba 2025." Moriguchi-san will perform a triumphant return live show in his hometown as a guest, and Tomoda Ore-san, who won the "R-1 Grand Prix 2025," a competition to determine the best solo comedian in Japan, will also perform his material.
Tomoda reflected on the recording, saying, "This was my first time appearing on a program in my hometown of Fukuoka. I had always wanted to appear on a local program someday, but I never thought it would happen so soon. I was also very happy to be able to perform with the two members of the Parachute Regiment, whom I have watched on TV since I was a child. On the program, I had a quiz about famous songs from the 'Showa era', which I love, and I also got to hear Moriguchi's songs up close, which was a lot of fun."
The program will be available for catch-up streaming on HK Plus (one week after broadcast and available nationwide).
