The second PV for the second season of the TV anime " Dandadan ," based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu , currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," has been released on YouTube. The PV begins with a scene in which the mysterious briefs man, who exudes a sinister murderous aura, vents his frustration, followed by scenes of Jiji sympathizing with the evil eye, Turbo Granny scolding him, and Okarun engaged in a fierce battle with the briefs man. Also depicted are a musician-like monster and Momo in a maid's uniform.
It was also announced that Aina the End will be in charge of the opening theme "Kakumei Dochu", and the song was unveiled in the second PV. Aina the End commented, "I packed the music with the image of someone fighting and running to protect something precious while holding on to sentimental feelings of love. It also represents the feelings of Momo and Okarun, and is a song that can give a push to anyone who is unsure. It's a song I love."
It was announced that a talk event for the series, "TV Anime ' Dandadan' An Old Lady and a Gal Are Coming to Chayamachi!!" will be held at the "Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2025" to be held in Osaka in June. Shion Wakayama, who plays Momo, Mayumi Tanaka, who plays Turbo Old Lady, Kaori Maeda, who plays Miko, and Miyu Tomita, who plays Muko, will be on stage.
"Dandadan" began serialization in "Shonen Jump +" in April 2021. It depicts Momo, a high school girl from a family of spiritualists, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic, as they face one strange phenomenon after another. The comic has sold over 10 million copies in total.
The first season of the anime aired on the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" from October to December 2024. The second season will air in the same slot starting July 3rd.
