TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appearance! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Itabashi Honcho in Tokyo on the May 17th broadcast.
Itabashi Honmachi flourished as a post town during the Edo period, but today it is home to training facilities for Japan's top athletes and has produced Olympic medalists. The program will introduce the town's sights and gourmet food, and TV cameras will also be on the training facilities. The preview video features Yuto Kagami (women's 76 kg wrestling), who won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, and Miwa Harimoto (women's table tennis team), who won a silver medal.
In the gourmet section, we will introduce "sources of power" such as the sushi loved by medalists such as former Tokyo Olympic gold medalist and table tennis player Jun Mizutani, a long-established eel restaurant that Japanese national swimming team members use for good luck, and a yakiniku restaurant that athletes frequent.
