The drama is set in Kamakura and is the third season of a romantic, home-comedy series depicting the love story between Koizumi, a TV producer, and Nakai, a civil servant working at Kamakura City Hall. The script was written by Yoshikazu Okada, who also wrote the first season in 2012 and the second in 2014. This work takes place 11 years after the second season.
In episode 5, Wahei Nagakura (Nakai) meets Ritsuko Hayata (Ishida Hikari) at Kamakura City Hall and hears about her late husband. In the evening, he also bumps into Chiaki Yoshino's (Koizumi) family doctor, Senji Naruse (Miura Tomokazu), at an izakaya. Naruse tells Wahei about his encounter with a patient (Chiaki) who looks just like his late wife.
