A collaboration visual between the latest movie version of the popular anime "Detective Conan", "Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback of the One-Eyed", and the latest movie in the popular action movie "Mission: Impossible (M:I)" series starring American actor Tom Cruise, "Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning", has been released. The super wild visual features Kogoro Mori, the main character of "One-Eyed Flashback", who shows off his charm as an "ikeoji" (cool older man), standing next to Tom Cruise, who could be called the "TOP of ikeoji".
The first Mission: Impossible film was released in 1996, and the Detective Conan TV anime began broadcasting in the same year, so they are the same age. The collaboration visual is a completely new drawing, and features Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, who was injured while risking his life with his friends to save the world from the threat of the end of the world in the latest installment of the 29-year-old M:I series, alongside Kogoro Mori, who was injured in the same place. In response to the M:I tagline, "I want you to believe in me. This is my last request," Kogoro Mori's tagline is accompanied by the tagline, "Look at me. I'm doing my best."
The visual will be displayed at Ikebukuro Hit Vision and Ikebukuro PARCO Vision in front of Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo from May 19th to 26th.
The collaboration movie was also released on YouTube. Kogoro Mori talks about the highlights of the movie along with Tom Cruise's super dangerous stunts on land, sea and air. The second half of the video also includes unreleased footage of "One-Eyed Flashback."
The setting of "One-Eyed Flashback" is the snowy mountains of Nagano Prefecture, and the film depicts the "sleeping memory" that connects two people who at first glance seem to have no connection, Kogoro in his sleep and Yamato Gansuke of the Nagano Prefectural Police. It was released on April 18th and has been a huge hit, grossing 11.3 billion yen and attracting over 7.86 million viewers.
"Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning" is said to be the culmination of the series and will be released on May 23rd.
