The synopsis for the sixth episode (to be aired on May 18th) of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " (Sundays at 9pm), starring actor Hiroshi Abe , has been released.
Set in the TV station "JBN" news program "NEWS GATE," this socially conscious entertainment series pursues the truth buried in the darkness and punishes evil. Abe plays the unconventional newscaster Shindo Soichi, while Hana Sakikubo , and Shunsuke Michieda of " Naniwa Danshi " plays Mei Nagano Yusuke, a rookie AD with an aspiration to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
In episode 6, with "organ transplant" as the keyword, the events that happened to Shindo and Hana 18 years ago are revealed, and the core of the story finally begins to move.
"I want to transplant the lungs of my husband, who has been diagnosed as brain dead, into my daughter." Hana interviews Fujii Mayumi (played by Nakamura Anne) and reports on her desperate plea on Newsgate that it is the current organ transplant system that is preventing the transplant. Voices of support for the Fujii family spread after the broadcast. However, in a weekly magazine article, sympathy for Mayumi suddenly turns to criticism.
To find out the truth, Hana takes Motohashi to the Himawari Net Medical Support Center, which Mayumi uses. It's the same organization that Shindo has been pursuing...
