Hiromi (Kitagawa) raised Miumi (Isshiki Nao Omori ) until she reached the first year of junior high school, harboring her hatred for Asahi (Omori Nao) deep in her heart for the sake of Miumi's future. One day, when Hiromi was trying to buy a drink from a vending machine near the nursery school, she happened to meet a man from a vending machine company. The man was Kumura (Abe Ryohei), who used to be Ririko's (Taira Yuna) tutor.
When Hiromi confides in Miumi about her troubles as she hits puberty, Kumura laughs bitterly and says, "I don't know anything about women." She then reveals that a female student she was tutoring accused her of sexual harassment, and a lie was spread on social media, causing her job offer to be revoked. Hiromi is shocked and sympathizes, but when she finds out that the family Kumura frequents is the Yuki family, her expression changes. Furthermore, Kumura calls Asahi a murderer...
Hiromi, who learned from Kumura that Asahi had risen to the position of managing director at "Tainasu", searches for Asahi's name and finds out that Asahi has started a new supermarket called "Switchback" and is recruiting employees. Hiromi is once again angry at Asahi, who is still working energetically in the same industry, and tries to meet Kumura to find out the truth behind Kumura calling Asahi a "murderer".
